Tooro Gallery was founded by Anne Kabahuma Kalinzi in 2014 after realising that many young women she had gone to school with had no source of income to provide scholastic materials and other home requirements for their children. The organization now has 700 members who have directly been trained, and involved in various workshops such as leadership, skill set development, weaving techniques, environment awareness, life skills and entrepreneurship skills

Basket Weaving
All our weaving courses aim to provide training in basket weaving to skilled artisans and unskilled people in order to increase our production capacity. Weaving provided hope as it is a valuable source of regular income
The craft industry is geared towards tourists and more tourist not only want to buy crafts but also to see how they are made. We like visitors to come and take interest in our artisans, cultute and production
Basket world Point is a marketing arm of Tooro Gallery. It showcases the beautiful handwoven, decorative and storages baskets made by the Women, Youth and Elderly of Tooro Gallery. These baskets are handwoven with beautiful colours and unique patterns made especially for you.
